Meals
Numerous studies have shown that high quality nutition helps children focus, increase engagement and improve learning ability. We provide breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack prepared on-site each day. We purchase a variety of wholesome fresh ingredients and minimize the amount of prepackaged items we use. Additionally, we believe in supporting our local agriculture by sourcing our ground beef and vegetables from neighboring farmers when possible.
Our culinary lead prepares each meal, most often from scratch, in our on-site kitchen and we partner with a registered dietician for menu review and to provide continuous ongoing education to help our cooking staff stay up to date with nutitironal requirements to help aid in children's growth and development.
In addition to preparing homemade meals we also try to expose children to new food textures and tastes and offer a seasonal garden where the children can grow vegetables and harvest and eat what they produce.
In an effort to create a culture of family all meals are served family style in the classroom where the children and teaching staff eat together much as a family would in their own homes.
We strive to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and are inspected and follow all health department guidelines.
Morning snack is served at 9:30, lunch at 11:30, and afternoon snack at 3:30. Parents and family members are always welcome to join the children for a meal.
